The PR 10 Levada do Furado walking trail on the island of Porto Santo is temporarily closed due to a landslide and pavement collapse, for safety reasons. In addition, the PR 3 Levada do Pico do Castelo trail on the island of Porto Santo will remain closed until the completion of the works to replace the water conduits. A new model of fees and reservations for the classified walking trails has been in effect since January 1, 2026.
